BIOGRAPHY SNAPSHOT

I empower individuals through creative strategy and advocacy

I'm an artist with a passion for design, tech and healthy workplaces for all. A summary of some of the hats I wear:

I left my high-paying (but toxic) corporate marketing career to help people grow their brands through web design, SEO, and more at Ry Marie Marketing. I’m also developing Employee Survival Guide, a nonprofit focused on employee self-defense and wellness through assertive communication, boundary-setting, and strategic navigation.

My mission is to empower individuals — whether through launching their own business or navigating toxic workplaces. I’m passionate about supporting women, people of color, and anyone seeking independence from toxic corporate environments.

Before entrepreneurship, I worked across industries like tobacco, telecom, nightlife, education, and entertainment, leading projects with major names like Sundance, Tribeca, and NYU. I bring a blend of creative skills in web development, design, filmmaking, and photography to help clients build spaces where work complements life (not the other way around).

Whether she was directing a strategic marketing campaign or managing our highest valued customer, Ryann consistently delivered high value work. Her ability to marry artistic vision with practical insights is a rare talent. It served us well at CallFire time and time again and it will serve her and whoever has the privilege of working with her well into the future.

Komnieve Singh

Entrepreneur/Investor & Founder at CallFire

I had the wonderful opportunity to get to know and collaborate with Ryann during our 12-week General Assembly software engineer bootcamp. Right off the bat, I was impressed by how much creativity and personality Ryann would put into her projects her ability to ask questions to dig deeper into the learning process. I watched Ryann transform from being a brand-new coder to someone who created 4 creative and ambitious applications by the end of our program. When we got to collaborate together on a project team, she was a fantastic communicator, brainstormer, and team player. I know Ryann has an exciting future in store, and any team would be lucky to work with her!

Full Stack Software Engineer

Ryann is one of the most innovative and consistently creative marketers I know. She brings strong discipline and an analytical mindset to her projects resulting in the efficient maximizing of resources and always being ahead of schedule. Ryann is the type of marketer and project manager I can only hope to be one day!
Ryann is a true team member and you never have to question her vision for a project. She communicates excellently, manages projects from beginning to end, defines objectives, and documents it all with finesse. She is motivated by creative problem solving and the videos that I worked on with her for the Marketing Team at CallFire and EzTexting clients got over 20k views on YouTube, thanks to her marketing ingenuity. I trust Ryann with meeting all milestones, deadlines, and managing a budget. She's a pleasure at work and as a person outside of work!

During my time in General Assembly's Software Engineering Immersive, I was lucky enough to work with Ryann on numerous occasions. Ryann is a creative powerhouse who brings level-headedness and professionalism to every interaction. Her ability to combine creative and strategic thinking with technical knowledge was an invaluable asset to our team, and I'm confident that Ryann's dynamic skillset would bring tremendous value to any team.

Full Stack Software Engineer

Ryann has become an invaluable partner over the years, always willing to test new ideas with us... As a partner, Ryann has ridden a number of challenging waves with us, including the challenge of keeping our communities engaged and connected during the time of COVID. Ryann is a fantastic collaborator and knows how to bring what may seem like nebulous ideas into a full-blown reality. She possesses the unique quality of being both a master project planner and big-picture thinker, while also being able to itemize all of the granular details. It has been such a pleasure working and learning from her over the years.
